Policies & Insurance

We are a small but growing queer family-run practice. Currently we are not in-network with any insurance, though this is a service we hope to offer in the future.

All services are offered with transparent pricing that we will share with you up front before providing any billable services. We can also provide you with a monthly itemized receipt (“superbill”) which you can use to seek possible reimbursement from your insurance. We encourage you to contact your insurance provider prior to your first appointment to inquire about your benefits and coverage for in- and out-of-network medical services. Please note that Medicare does not provide out-of-network reimbursement.

Please contact us directly for more information about current fees and payment methods. We have listed the prices above but can provide more information regarding practice policies and fees after an initial phone conversation and prior to our first appointment to review.

Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act: You have the right to receive a good faith estimate explaining how much your medical care will cost if you do not have insurance or are not using insurance. For more information, see https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

Our Process

Contact Us

If you’re interested in working together, please leave us a voicemail with your info as listed on our Next Steps Page.

Initial Conversation

We will reach out during your preferred times to see if we are a good fit for you, discuss further details of our services, and answer any questions you may have. This should take no more than 15 min.

Complete Intake Paperwork

We will send some intake paperwork that includes clinic policy as well as medical history and related documents. Good Faith Estimates for billing can be provided upon request so that you can check with your insurance about potential reimbursement.

Initial Visit & Establish Care

For youth gender care: Youth under 18 have two initial visits to ensure all questions are answered prior to signing consent paperwork. Baseline labs are obtained after initial visit #1. If consent paperwork is completed by parents, we can start treatment at initial visit #2.

For adult gender care: Adults 18+ have one initial visit.

For poetry group therapy: For patients who would benefit from the group, no additional appointments are required to start attending.

Rose Wong Financial Aid Program

In efforts to make gender-affirming care more affordable and accessible, we have created the Rose Wong Financial Aid program to supplement the cost for gender-affirming care appointments only. This is solely a need-based program - the fees for gender-affirming care appointments will be reduced for individuals who have a household income below 300% of the federal poverty line. (You can check using the WA Healthplan Tool)

If you would like to apply for this, please let us know at our initial phone conversation and we will provide you an email address to send proof of income.

In honor of Rose Wong, a fierce advocate, brilliant musician, and passionate med school friend. Here is a link to her music.
